Re: Palin’s Character
The incident at Washington, PA where Gov. Palin and her running mate were extremely gracious to the family whose kid had Down Syndrome reminded me of a note I got a few months ago from my brother-in-law, whose son is stationed in Fairbanks, AK. He wrote:
[Todd Palin] broke his arm racing a snowmobile and when they got to Fairbanks, Tom [my nephew] took Palin and her hubby to the E-room. [Sarah] never told him she was the governator and asked for no special privileges.
This kind of genuine unpretentious humanity and simple graciousness seems to manifest itself in so much of what the Palins do and say, and it stands in sharp contrast to the “Do you know who I am?” attitude projected by so many politicians and members of the media.
