Matthews vs Huskey

Isn’t one of the first rule of politics to not pick fights with people who buy ink by the barrel?

“24/7 political animal,” Jim Matthews missed that lesson.

Mistakes do happen though folks, and, once again, I don’t mind being held accountable, but I have to tell you, I was absolutely flabbergasted when I was called out on a mistake in last week’s column.

Seems Montgomery County Commissioners Chairman Jim Matthews thinks I’m a few bricks shy of a full load.

Or maybe more accurate for me, a few verbs shy of a complete sentence?

No, that doesn’t sound right either. He certainly must believe I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, though, because he actually said so right on camera, at a public meeting.

Apparently I’m a moron because I wrote in last week’s column that the current county board of commissioners had squandered away a $6 million surplus left by the last board.

Seems Matthews was calling my intelligence into question because he had helped squander away a $96 million surplus, not a $6 million surplus.

That’s right, $96 million of taxpayer money gone, just gone, under his leadership.

And I’m the moron?

… and there’s much, much, more.

You are right, there is so much more. As much as I enjoy the videos and the banter, when will legal action be taken? Enough is enough!!!

Matthews and Miller need to be locked up. That is all there is to it. CBIZ goy 100s of thousands of county dollars for YEARS! No contract, not vote of the commissioners, no oversight, nothing! Its executives have poured 10 of thousands of dollars into Jim Matthews campaign coffers, managed by campaign treasurer/county solicitor Miller, WHICH MATTHEWS USES TO PAY FOR A CAR LEASE, GAS, INSURANCE, REPAIRS, TOLLS TO THE SHORE WHICH MILLER AUTHORIZES! Miller is the one giving the legal advice allowing the secret, no bid unvoted on by the commissioners contract with CBIZ to exist and he is the one collecting the contributions from them for Matthews and dispensing the cash to pay Matthews’ personal expenses. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! WHERE IS LAW ENFORCEMENT???

“Where is law enforcement?” One could always call Erik Holder! Better yet, call the New Black Panthers—they hate white crackers!
