Blogging the Stop Obamacare Rally in DC

I’m heading to DC tomorrow for the Stop Obamacare Rally with members and supporters of the Independence Hall Tea Party Association. Hopefully, I’ll get the opportunity to meet up with Jonn Lilyea who blogs at This Ain’t Hell and is covering the GOE rally being held in DC.

I’m excited about a recent application I downloaded on to my iphone. The Qik application provides users with a platform to broadcast live, streaming video from mobile devices such as an iphone.

Review of the day below the cut

Many kudos to the organizers of the Independence Hall Tea Party Association for organizing SIX buses with little advanced notice. It was an exhilarating day to be in DC, the sun was shining and the temperature was absolutely balmy. A great day for 10 to 20 thousand patriots gathered to send a message to Congress.

The atmosphere at this event was family friendly, the signs were quite clever, and the speakers inspiring.
The resounding message of those assembled was a ‘yes’ vote for obamacare will equal a ‘no’ vote come November elections. Many of those present took the opportunity to tell their elected representatives just that after the rally. I did hear Patrick Murphy (D-PA) evaded his constituents by turfing them off to his numerous assistants. It should be noted that 40% of his campaign finances come from out of state donors.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus failed to foment a racial incident thanks to an American patriot and his trusty Flip camcorder.

Every time I attend one of these events I come away more energized to continue to work to bring America back to good. It’s nice to know that I’m joined by millions of Americans across this nation in this endeavor.
