Yes, Rosie, You DID Call Our Troops Terrorists May 24 2007
ROSIE O’DONNELL: I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists?
ELISABETH HASSELBECK: Who are the terrorists?
O’DONNELL: 655,000 Iraqis — I’m saying you have to look, we invaded —
HASSELBECK: Wait, who are you calling terrorists now? Americans?
O’DONNELL: I’m saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?
HASSELBECK: Are we killing their citizens or are their people also killing their citizens?
O’DONNELL: We’re invading a sovereign nation, occupying a country against the U.N.
There is no way to interpret what Rosie O’Donnell said on The View other than that she was calling the American military “terrorists”. Elisabeth Hasselbeck might be too polite to say that to O’Donnell’s face, but it’s the truth, and it’s shocking to see the number of people willing to defend O’Donnell and her obscene statements.
If you haven’t already seen it (repeatedly), here’s some video from yesterday’s fight between Hasselbeck and O’Donnell. Or as I call them, Beauty and the Beast. Or as Curtis Sliwa just called them on Fox News, Princess Leia and Jabba the Hut:
Hot Air: Nuclear war erupts on “The View”
I say ‘kudos’ to Hasselbeck who is surrounded by nasty, intimidating liberals every day on that show. I’ve seen many conservatives call her a “lightweight”, but I’d like to see anyone short of expert conservative pundits like Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter do a better job than she does.
