More Pennsylvania Pictures — On the Way to the Polls November 7 2009
Election day, late in the afternoon, we were on our way to vote. The sun hung low in the sky and its rays slanted across the landscape. Photographers call it the “golden hour”, when everything seems to be infused with an amber glow. “She Who Must Not Be Named” was behind the wheel so I was free to take pictures. Here’s a bit of what we saw as we drove to the polls.
The leaves may be well past their peak, but the golden brown of late autumn is still a wonderful sight here in the gorgeous commonwealth.

Your pictures are always stunning, Dale, but you’ve outdone yourself this week.

As usual, the photos are simply stunning! I live in an urban jungle, it is good to see the beauty that is just past the confines of urban life.

Beautiful. What kind of camera are you using?

Thank you, you are very kind.
I was using a Nikon D-90 with a Nikkor 18-105 lens.
Most of the shots were from a moving vehicle so the resolution is not all that it could have been.
I took the shots along Rte #443 between Orwigsburg and McKeansburg in Schuylkill County.

Thanks Tania, you are very kind. I used to live in Philly myself and there are some wonderful pictures to take there. Come to think of it you are taking some really good ones yourself. Keep it up, I like your work.
