Intertubes Roundup: Socialist Mop Edition

(1) Give Stoaty some love for her depiction of Obama’s socialist mop:

(2) Robert Samuelson trashes the public option:

In reality, the public plan, also known as the public option, is mostly an exercise in political avoidance: It pretends to control costs and improve access to quality care when it doesn’t.

In other news, what unholy joke is this “opt-out” garbage at the state level?!? (a) As if any state will want to pay for other states’ subsidized care without taking some for themselves. (b) As if it would even be possible for most states to opt-out due to bias against action (i.e. gridlock) in state governments (see stimulus opt-out). Let’s put it this way, it’s so bad even Olympia Snowe doesn’t like it.

(3) Amanda Carpenter discusses the War on Coal.  This should go well in PA, no?  Maybe after everybody’s electricity rates go up then?

(4) I’m not entirely sold on this idea, but it’s interesting – predicting Presidential results from biographical data.  Put your nerd glasses on, go download the PDF and check out Appendix 1, if nothing else.

(5) Meet Robert Gibbs’ Replacement

(6) My childhood died a little bit… they’re making an A-Team movie. UFC fighter “Rampage” Jackson is playing B.A. Baracus. And somehow they worked in Jessica Biel. Yeah, don’t ask me about that one.

(I really need to declare “bookmark bankruptcy” …)
