Obama Yelled “Lie!” First

I don’t know why I didn’t catch this last night, but Rep. Joe Wilson yelled “Lie!” a few seconds after Obama himself accused Sarah Palin of telling a “Lie!”

Of course Nancy Pelosi stood and applauded Obama calling Palin a liar, but was OUTRAGED when Obama’s words were called a lie.

As for Wilson, was he right to call Obama a liar? Why, yes, he was.

Good catch, John. I would add that when about said it was a lie that “he wants panels of bureaucrats…” he was not right; that is entirely what the Independent Medicare Advisory Council is intended to do (maybe not “kill people” but certainly to deny whatever they deem “unnecessary care”):

Sorry, but I didn’t hear Obama call any person a liar. He said the claim was a lie, but didn’t call any person a liar. Subtle difference, but do you see a difference in me saying this: This article is idiotic, versus John Lewandowski is an idiot?

One is clearly a personal attack. The other is hard-ball debate. There is a difference.

Dale, I know you liberals exhale dishonesty as you would CO2, but even your silly argument doesn’t hold H20. By your logic, it’s OK to accuse someone of telling lies as long as you don’t call them a “liar”. Well, that’s exactly what Joe Wilson did – he yelled “You lie!”, not “You’re a liar!”. See the subtle difference?

Your other analogy doesn’t work, either. Saying that this article is idiotic is far different from calling me an idiot. Writing one idiotic article does not an idiot make. Not necessarily, anyway. However, it only takes one lie for someone to be a liar. For example, if someone says that illegal immigrants will not be covered under ObamaCare while the Congressional Budget Office says that they will be, that person is telling a lie, and is therefore a liar. Understand? How amusing that a liberal would be so terrible at manipulating the English language.

But I am not interested in playing your liberal word games. The fact of the matter is that in mentioning “death panels”, everyone knows that Obama was talking about Sarah Palin. And then he said that the death panels were lies. If he were a more respectable president instead of a bully and a thug, he could have said that the claims were unfounded, or that his critics were mistaken. But, if there’s one thing King Barry isn’t, it’s respectable, so he just couldn’t help himself.
