Maureen Dowd Commits Liberal Mortal Sin May 17 2009
You want to talk hypocrisy, Miss California bashers? Now THIS is REAL hypocrisy. The PULITZER PRIZE WINNING columnist and reporter Maureen Dowd has been caught committing plagiarism.
If you had teachers like I did in high school and college, then you know that liberal elites seem to think that plagiarism is a crime worse than murder. I have had numerous teachers and professors inform my classes that if we ever got caught plagiarizing anything, we were going to be thrown out of school and never get an education and basically fail at life and die penniless.
So what will the punishment be for Maureen Dowd? How about no punishment at all? After all, she’s a Democrat! It’s OK for her to plagiarize stuff! It’s also OK for her to lie about it and say that “a friend” told her about stuff she happened to include in her column WORD FOR WORD from a left-wing blog.
If Dowd were a Republican she would be fired immediately and there would be a serious effort made to take away her Pulitzer. But, since we apparently live on the Bizarro Planet where Lisa Mossie’s columns get dropped for being too insightful and popular, Dowd will probably be rewarded for stealing someone else’s work.
