Dan Rooney Receives His Thirty Pieces of Silver From Obama March 17 2009
Dan Rooney, devout Catholic and the patron saint of Pittsburgh, finally got what we knew he was after with his irrational support of the candidacy of anti-Catholic extremist Barack Obama – the ambassadorship to Ireland.
Rooney is such a holy roller that he even applied different standards to his players when they committed acts of assault against their girlfriends. Rooney got rid of Cedric Wilson when he physically attacked his girlfriend, but didn’t remove James Harrison from the team after a similar incident last March. Why? Because:
“I know many are asking the question of [why] we released Wilson and Harrison we kept,” Rooney said. “The circumstances — I know of the incidents, they are completely different. In fact, when I say we don’t condone these things, we don’t, but we do have to look at the circumstances that are involved with other players and things like that, so they’re not all the same.”
In Harrison’s case, Rooney said the player was trying to take his son to be baptized.
“What Jimmy Harrison was doing and how the incident occurred, what he was trying to do was really well worth it,” Rooney said of Harrison’s initial intent with his son. “He was doing something that was good, wanted to take his son to get baptized where he lived and things like that. She said she didn’t want to do it.”
So if you’re keeping track – beating up your girlfriend is OK, as long as it’s to force her to get your kid Baptized. I must have missed that lesson in my CCD classes.
And also according to Rooney, it’s perfectly fine to support a candidate who is so extremely pro-abortion to the point of saying that the “first thing” he would do as president is sign into law a bill which would force Catholic hospitals to perform abortions… just as long as he rewards you with an ambassadorship, that is. Enjoy your thirty pieces of silver, Dan.
Now let’s see if Doug Kmiec, another traitor, will be given his ambassorship to the Vatican. Kmiec is similar to Rooney in that his hope to be made an ambassador is the only reason why he, a devout Catholic and conservative, supported Obama. Modern day Judas’es, both of them.
