Well there’s no time like too late to let everyone know he was “wrong.”
… even though he voted for cloture.
I realize Senator Specter is a smart man, but here’s the definition of cloture, in case he forgot:
(in a legislative assembly) a procedure for ending a debate and taking a vote : [as adj. ] a cloture motion.
Senator Specter voted for cloture.
Is he serious?
To be fair, he didn’t read the bill, so he didn’t know it needed more time for debate.
Tip of the hat to Ed Morrissey who writes of the healthcare provisions. He adds:
Basically, it tells Specter that he should have accepted death rather than expensive treatment, and that he’s a bad American for having survived. His doctors would have faced penalties for attempting to cure him if the FCCCER didn’t approve their work.
